SOCT20807 - Working in the Media

Today I chose to look further into some of the solicitors and law firms I found the other day. I hope to develop a deeper understanding of what they can offer CASS+ and their clients.

Today I looked into some awards and competitions CASS+ may be eligible for. I found myself to be relatively unsuccessful on this attempt, however, I hope some further research will prove more valuable.

Today I listened to another podcast about life during court procedings and how different it is in comparison to what people thought it would be.

I felt it necessary to complete some research into CASS+ as an organisation. This was so I am able to understand the entire process of the organisation and the types of people who use their service. I believe this will provide me with a much better understanding when it comes to tasks later in the placement.

Today I chose to research into some more law firms that may be useful to CASS+

Today I chose to look into the second brief provided and complete some preliminary research into some Law Firms and Solicitors in the Devon and Cornwall area. This is something I am very unfamiliar with and found it challenging to find appropriate firms.

I listened to the remaining episode of the BBC 4 podcast today. As a whole, I have found the series to be a new potential angle to look at my podcast from.

Today I found time to listen to some more episodes of the podcasts Tessa introduced me to. These have been very insightful and given me a great deal to work off in terms of what I will be planning.

I have conducted some more research into the journalists in the Devon and Cornwall area, this completes the research element for most of this task.

Tessa was kind enough to provide me with some examples of podcasts of a similar nature to which I have been asked to plan. These examples are: - Life after Prison AND - BBC Radio 4: Life Behind the Crime

Today I chose to do some further research into some of the journalists I looked at yesterday as a part of my preliminary research.

Today I completed some preliminary research into the first brief I was given, researching journalists in the Devon and Cornwall area.
